I came to this country about four years ago, when I got here I only knew about ten English vocabularies like “Yes, no, that, this, left, right, thanks, bye……” and numbers. I don’t even know how to curse properly in the English language. But after numerous practices, I now have the certificate to be an ESL teacher, and I invented my own way of learning a new language. Traditionally people would learn a language starting by the greetings or the cursing (either way), and then it’s followed by vocabularies and grammars. Theoretically, if you work hard, anything can be done. But what if I tell you, that you can learn a new language so comfortable and so fast it is almost as easy as you learned your first language. Do you remember how we learned our first language? Did we start with the greetings? In the opposite we stated with the basic human needs, and we interact with it. When I was in the TESL class, I tried my way and it turns out better than I thought. For example I would bring actual cookies and sodas to the class “A”, each student have to make a sentence about the food in order to get it. But In the class “B”, I taught the students with the traditional way, and before class ends, I gave both of the classes the same test. It turns out that on the test result, I can’t find a difference, but after only 40 minutes practice, classes “A” can speak a lot clear and better English than the class “B”. I only got one chance to teach the two classes, because we have to teach three actual classes in order to pass the TESL course. About two weeks later almost all of my class “A” students has the ability to posted lots of things on the facebook with correct English, and has way more friends than the class “B” students. And that proves my point, speaking is the key of learning a language, once you can speak it loud and clear, you can pick up everything else faster than you can ever imaging. Hearing is believing, with my way of teaching I would sent you on the right track of the language you’re learning, and not for too long you won’t need me anymore, because the actual world helps you practice for free! You can make friends, watch movies, traveling without a translator, even with the SAT tests. It would be a lot easier and comfortable to learn. It will be another experience of learning a new language.
