Experience
I worked many years in various Writing Centers specializing in one-on-one help with writing. Besides being comfortable in the tutoring arena, I am also an excellent ghost writer (you tell me what you want to say and I translate it into the academic register), editor, and proofreader. My MA degree is specifically in The Teaching of Writing, and I did my Master's Thesis on Sentence Construction (how to build elegant sentences). I have also worked extensively with foreign language learners, and I am very familiar with the nuances of tutoring for that population (language mechanics, idioms, euphemisms, etc).
