BA in English and Italian (University of Wisconsin, 1996). MA in English linguistics (University of Wisconsin, 1999).
Experience
I have 4 children (ages 8, 10, 12 and 15). I taught them all how to read and write and continue to tutor them as necessary in English (grammar, writing, proof reading, editing, literature) and in their Spanish assignments. I adopted my 10 year old daughter (born with a cleft lip and palate) at age 2 from China. After her surgeries, I did many years of speech therapy with her to help her learn and speak English correctly. I lived in Italy for a year and speak conversational Italian and have a love and passion for the language and the country of Italy. I also have studied French and Spanish and would feel comfortable teaching the basics of those languages.
