I attended the University of California, Irvine and graduated Cum Laude in 2013 (GPA 3.6) with double majors in Public Health Sciences (B.S.) and International Studies (B.A.).
Experience
I have tutored students from kindergarten to high school. I have experience working with kids through my volunteer work at a children's center. I also have experience in mentoring incoming freshmen from high school entering college. I have a well rounded knowledge from the life sciences to social sciences through my double major education at UCI. I want to be a tutor because I would like to share what I have learned in my university and encourage others in my community to pursue higher education. I like to emphasize critical thinking skills and efficient study habits for myself and other students. I have taken all core science classes through my public health sciences major: Chemistry with Lab, Organic Chemistry and Lab, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, Evolutionary Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Physics. Through my social sciences international studies major, I have taken history, political sciences, and psychology classes. I am currently studying for my MCATs and planning to apply for medical school next year as I am in the journey to become a physician!
