I am a senior at University of California, Irvine and I am pursuing a degree in Biology. I am at a junior-level credit standing (one year ahead of schedule). I have a 3.84 GPA and have excelled in a wide breadth of subjects, including calculus, chemistry, writing, and biology.
Experience
I was a member of the California Student Federation, which is a peer tutoring organization in California high schools. I am also a peer tutor in UCI's Humanities Core program. 2100 SAT superscore, with a perfect 800 in SAT writing. I have taken 8 AP tests, passing all of them with at least a 4 in each, and have been honored with the AP Scholar with Distinction Award. I have chosen to be a tutor because I want to inspire fellow students with the joy of learning something new and to broaden their horizons. Learning is the first step to truly understanding and appreciating a certain subject, and is a skill that should be embraced by all people. I have taken the following AP Subjects: European History, United States History, Music Theory, Calculus AB, Statistics, US Government, and Macroeconomics.
