Our passion is to help students achieve their academic goals. TutorBuds is owned and operated by Tammy Nguyen, M.S., who has a passion to help students achieve academic success. She has carefully selected and trained qualified tutors with similar passions to help each student. Tammy has over 10 years of tutoring experience at the university, high school, and elementary school levels in both private and small classroom settings. She was a tutor at the Learning and Academic Resource Center (LARC) at the UCI and has served as a teaching assistant (T.A.) at UCSD during her graduate studies. Tammy has a M.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). She earned a 3.8 GPA during her undergraduate degree and graduated with Cum Laude honors in 2008. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she hopes to gain the business and communication skills to continue to build a solid tutoring service to serve students. She has taken communication classes to supplement her tutoring skills, and is always striving to offer the best services to help her clients achieve their academic goals.
