As a former college essay consultant and current Writing Specialist at UC Irvine, I enjoy working with a diverse body of students engaged in any portion of the writing process, from brainstorming topics and mining credible sources, to developing arguments and polishing ideas for clarity and grammar. My experience as a speech communication instructor has fueled a similar passion for helping students sharpen their delivery skills in preparation for in-class presentations and interviews. I also have experience tutoring students in the areas of English Literature, SAT/ACT prep (English/Writing/Essay), psychology, religious studies, research methods, and basic math.

In my free time, I am an avid reader, writer, hiker, auntie, connection-seeker, and volunteer. Fueled at least partly by the discovery that 30% of cell phone owners have faked a call to avoid a social interaction, I am also endlessly curious about the psychology of technology. Finally, as a perennial student, I share a keen affinity with many of my fellow learners for drinking espresso and clicking Ctrl+2 to watch our term papers instantly double in length.
