Northern Arizona University - BS, Dual Physics and Mechanical Engineering

As a tutor, I'm passionate about giving students the tools they need to be successful both in the classroom and out in the world. While studying physics and engineering at Northern Arizona University, I had several experiences that challenged my view of the world we live in, such as operating the Multiple Mirror Telescope or using electricity as a means to stimulate cellular activity. Since completing my studies, I want to help others identify pathways to success, particularly in areas like math and physics, which can be daunting for many students. During my time as a teaching assistant, I developed the ability to take challenging subjects and break them down into simple, more digestible terms. Math and physics lessons have real life applications, and connecting them to a student's hobby or things we use every day can have a meaningful impact on one's educational journey.
