I have tutored students for about 5 years now. Most of what I have chosen to focus on is math. I have tutored students in Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus at both the high school and college level. I have always enjoyed tutoring because it is a very fulfilling job. I enjoy being able to have my students learn and overcome the different obstacles they encounter. My favorite part of tutoring is always getting to know my students and helping them gain a better appreciation for the math. My course of study has given me sufficient knowledge to be able to tutor a variety of subjects. The basis of my degree are biology, chemistry, math, and physics. I have taken courses that combine these fields together and has expanded my knowledge of each. Aside from academic experience I have had the opportunity of being an undergraduate researcher at Beckman Laser Institute. In this lab I have gained a stronger knowledge of optoelectronics. On top of that I have taken different classes that allow me to take a closer look at materials and their properties.
