CBEST I taught preschool and kindergarten for 2 years. I have extensive recent experience helping international students apply for college in the US. I work with them specifically on essay writing. I tutor students one on one from elementary through high school and I like the idea of working one on one with someone, giving them the time and attention they need to meet their goals. In addition, I am a musician. I play the piano and accompany a variety of occasions from private voice lessons to off broadway auditions and rehearsals. I have performed and taught around the world for over 15 years. I also work with voice students. Most recently, two of my students auditioned and were cast to perform on Disney cruiseline.

I was lucky to have a diverse upbringing, diverse in every sense of the word! I come from Hawaii, where I was immersed in the rich Polynesian culture; I learned to dance, cook, and sing the Polynesian way. I swam and played water polo through college. I spent some time during high school in Taiwan, where I learned about my Chinese heritage, the Chinese language, and Chinese arts. During college I spent a year working on a cruise ship in China. After college I worked in Japan for two years teaching kindergarten and doing business on the side. Since then I've been running my own business as an international education consultant, working especially with study abroad programs in the area. I hope I get to know you and work with you soon!
