I am currently in my third year of a Ph.D. program studying Organic Chemistry at UC Irvine. I have several years of experience teaching both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry in a lab and classroom setting and have tutored both high school and undergraduate level students. I've had the opportunity to teach an Organic chemistry 'flip class' where the lecture time is spent working through problems and learning concepts in an interactive environment. This has inspired me to take this type of learning and apply it in a one-on-one setting. As studying and memorizing are important practices for academic success, I prefer to focus on problem solving and interactive discussions with students to solidify concepts. I have a passion for chemistry, it's what my life revolves around day in and day out. As chemistry always seems to be a challenging and intimidating subject I hope to work with students to overcome these feelings and inspire an interest in science.

Hobbies
I'm very personable, enthusiastic and like getting to know the students I work with. I love the beach and usually surf about three times a week in the early mornings before work. I work on the UC Irvine campus and have office space for tutoring sessions. I have my own transportation but will require a flat rate to drive to a student's location.
