#### Experience

I am an experienced mathematics tutor based in Orange County and the lead tutor for the Learning Resource Center at Saddleback College. I have been a private tutor since 2010 and specialize in course material at the college and high school levels. I also provide support in preparation for the math portions of major standardized exams, including the SAT, ACT, GRE, and CBEST.

Throughout my time at Saddleback College, I have become very familiar with its university level standards and its faculty members. My own personal relationships with much of the mathematics faculty, combined with my extensive experience tutoring their students, has provided me with unique insights into each of their testing styles. This enables me to give specific advice about which concepts to focus on, which problems regarding those concepts to practice, and how much work to show for full credit.

The success of my students is paramount and I consider it a source of personal and professional pride. I have helped students of all ability levels comprehend even the most challenging of mathematical concepts. I draw from my own experiences as a former student who was enrolled in a rigorous academic environment. I understand the challenges and common hang-ups that many students face when grappling with coursework. I ensure that my students have a solid foundation in fundamentals so that they can more clearly understand the purpose behind new concepts and their applications.

In addition to face-to-face instruction, I offer to all of my students the option of sending problems they are struggling with to me via text message, for free! I remember having very specific questions when I was studying and spending hours reading textbooks and combing the internet for the answers, often without results. To help my students avoid doing the same, I work out the solutions for them and post them online. I also make printable materials that thoroughly explain the most commonly misunderstood concepts.
